The Mourning Dove is a medium-sized bird in the pigeon family. It is often seen in groups foraging on the ground and has a distinctive soft cooing sound. Its gentle grey-brown color looks infused with purplish taupe hues in the shade at times, to give the bird a dignified calming presence.

Size: Large Songbird Size (10-13 inches)
Diet: Seeds, grain, peanuts, berries, weeds
